What is handicap pension scheme
The Uttar Pradesh government had announced the Disabled Pension Scheme in 2016. The state government has started the Scheme online registration through the integrated portal sspy-up.gov.in. Under this scheme, applicants who are physically handicapped will get financial assistance in the form of a pension from the government. The government will provide Rs 500 / – per month for physically challenged people under the disabled scheme. Disabled Pension Scheme UP online application forms are given on the official website.

Eligibility of disabled Pension Scheme
- The disabled should be permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh.
- The applicant should be 40 percent disabled.
- Persons who are receiving any earlier pension-like old, widow, or any other pension will not be eligible for this scheme.
- If the disabled person owns a three-wheeler or four-wheeler or any vehicle is not eligible for this pension.
- People with disabilities who are working in any government sector are not eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme.
Important papers for Handicap Scheme
- Age certificate
- One Identity Proof like- Aadhar card / PAN card / Ration card / Voter card
- Residence certificate
- Certificate of income
- 40 percent disability certificate etc.
Apply Online for Handicap Pension UP
The applicant can apply to the Gram Sabha in rural areas and to the District Disabled Welfare Officer in urban areas. All eligible applicants can also fill their application forms through the official website http://sspy-up.gov.in. Through these methods, applicants can fill the online form.
Step 1 – Candidates have to go to the official website sspy-up.gov.in.
Step 2 – Candidates have to click on the “Handicap Pension” link on the homepage
Step 3 – Now candidates click on the “Apply Online” link.
Step 4 – Candidates click on the “New Form” link.
Step 5 – Disabled Pension Scheme UP online registration form will open.
Step 6 – Fill all the required information in the application form.
Step 7 – After that click on the “Save” Option.
