What is EWS Certificate?
The Modi government recently made an announcement. Under which the weaker section falling in the general category will also get the benefit of reservation. The central and state governments keep extracting a lot of jobs. In which you may get the advantage of reservation financially.
If you also fall under the EWS category, then get your E.W.S certificate made. So that you can get a 10% quota i.e. reservation in central jobs and in-state jobs.
EWS stands for – Economically Weaker Section
This is a new scheme launched by the government. Under this, 10% reservation should also be given to economically weaker general category, in central and state jobs.

Eligibility for Ews Certificate
- In this category only those people who are not taking the benefit of reservation of SC, ST, and OBC i.e. people of the general category who are weak on economic terms.
- Those who fall in the EWS category have a total annual income of 8 lakh or less. This amount should be the annual income of your entire family. Whichever means you are earning by farming, trade, job, etc.
- No more than 5 acres of land
- The ground where you are staying should not be more than 1000 square feet.
- If you live in notified municipalities and your residential space does not exceed 100 square yards.
- You do not have a plot of 200 square feet apart from your house, which comes in notified municipalities
How to Make EWS Certificate
- You can Apply online for E.W.S Certificate by Giving Below Link.
- To get an E.W.S certificate, you can get it built in your village town’s tehsil.
- From District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Collector / Additional Deputy Commissioner.
- From Tehsildar (Recommended).
- From Sub-Divisional Officer / Sub-Divisional Officer of the realm wherever the candidate or his family ordinarily resides.

- Two Passport Size Color Photo.
- Aadhar Card / Pan Card
